Poker Arrest Nabs Six Gamblers

A month long investigation ended in a six person arrest in New Jersey, where more than twenty other people were issued city ordinance violations. It all happened at a Jersey Avenue warehouse, where weekend poker tournaments were being held. After the police handed over a search warrant for the building located at 235 Jersey Ave they were able to seize more than ten grand in cash. Computers, gaming tables, chips, and playing cards were also part of the haul. One Michael Duong, 30, of Flushing, N.Y. is the suspected brains behind the operation, and was charged with promoting gambling, conspiracy to promote gambling and maintaining a gambling resort.



The other five arrests were charged with conspiracy to promote gambling. Jennifer Chang, 30; Daniel Harding, 22; Richard Koo, 21; Kevin Zarobinski, 20; and Song Choe, 24.
