The iPod and resultant podcasts may have been the biggest leap forward in communication since movable type and then the Internet itself. Some fairly high quality formats are getting on the virtual air through podcasting on the Internet, presenting themselves to an audience that would never otherwise have had the chance to hear them, without their being part of the limited air space available on radio. A new poker related podcast has joined the crowd; the California Poker Radio show, being broadcast on the Internet every Saturday for an hour out of a San Diego studio. Heralded (at least by his own promo) as a cross between Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh, the host Bobby Spade is betting on poker interest to remain hot enough to make a hit out of his show, which an be found at worldpokerradio.com.
