Court Overturns Poker Decision

The question of poker machine installation in Victoria was a closed one until recently, when the Victorian Court of Appeal overturned a previous decision by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT.) The Romsey Hotel had received permission from VCAT to install poker machines, but now the Court has stepped in, stating that VCAT did not consider community opposition evidence when making their decision.
