Pacific Poker and its parent company, 888 Holdings PLC, an online casino and poker operator, are continuing to do well, having a sizable increase in profit for the 2005 fiscal year. Recently released reports from the CEO of 888 Holdings, John Anderson, confirm that the company's booming success is lead in a big way by the popularity of the poker part of the operations. 2.3 million newly registered poker member accounts have been opened, a huge figure by any standards, and a big driver to financial success for the gambling outfit. 888 Holdings also operates Reef Club Casino and Casino-On-Net.
An after tax profit jump of nearly sixty percent for the year has been good news for 888 Holdings, with the NGR, or Net Gambling Revenue, jumping a big 179%, translating to just under $110 million.
