The latest poker player to hit a million dollars winning a World Poker Tour event is one Brandon Cantu, the winner of the World Poker Tour's Bay 101 Shooting Star event in California. One of the more popular of the WPT events, the Shooting Star is a bounty tournament where each table boasts a target. If you knock out the target, you will win cash on the spot. Cantu won the ultimate prize for knocking out the most important target - the second place finisher. Cantu picked up one million, and the rest of the payouts at the final table were as follows: Steve Sung - $585,000, Jennifer Harman - $330,000, Noah Jefferson - $265,000, Mike Baker - $200,000 and John Phan - $135,000.
