This year the orders for TV episodes have been cut nearly in half for the World Poker Tour Enterprises' flagship show, the World Poker Tour, resulting in a huge loss of income. The WPTE has delivered only 22 episodes, where last year they put out 45. The Travel Channel, which ran the WPT, dropped season two of the sister show, the Professional Poker Tour, despite a previous order. While there are more licenses for overseas TV, such as China, the revenues are lower and could not make up for the shortfall. The WPT is now aired on the Game Show Network.
