Poker Lawsuit Called into Question

By launchpoker, Mar 7, 2008 Poker Lawsuit Called into Question

The company that has been putting so many poker dealers out of work is facing their own financial challenge, thanks to a lawsuit from a rival company. PokerTek, which manufactures poker tables that run games without the benefit of dealers, thanks to advanced AI poker software and touch screen terminals, has become the target of a lawsuit from Lighting Poker, which is suing on the basis of patent infringement. PokerTek has responded to the lawsuit by saying they believe their product does not violate any patent, held by Lighting Poker or otherwise. Lighting Poker has attempted to sue PokerTek before, and the previous lawsuit was unsuccessful.
