Two men known as professional poker players have been caught with hundreds of thousands of pounds stolen from cash machines. The men, who are brothers, are Mohammed Imran and Mohammed Irfan, and they have had the funds since 2005, when they stole them from ATMs using a system loophole and an expired bank card. The Bank of Scotland and Halifax, upon their merger three years ago, updated their ATM system but left the loophole that was exploited by the two men, who reportedly stole the funds to bankroll a Las Vegas gambling trip. Both men were arrested and the cash was found in their homes.
