Online Poker Sites Blocked in Israel

Online poker sites will be blocked automatically in the country of Israel if a newly proposed bill is passed. The bill, which passed its first Knesset reading, has been dubbed the "Internet Porn Bill" because in addition to online poker sites and other online gambling sites, sex web sites will be blocked as well. Customers who specifically request to see these sites will be allowed to, but it will prevent accidental discovery by those who do not wish to be exposed to such sites. It is not known yet how much of an impact this bill would have on the bottom line of the online poker industry should it pass.
