It should feel like coming home again. For 34 years the home of the World Series of Poker was the place where it all began, the Horeshoe Casino, founded by the creator of the WSOP himself, Benny Binion. In 2004 the World Series of Poker was sold to Harrah’s Entertainment, who moved the classic pro event series to the Rio in Las Vegas. Now it looks like the Horseshoe will be holding another pro tournament circuit, this time for the American Poker Player Championship. The APPC is a 29-event series that kicks off May 10 and runs through May 24. The buy ins won’t run the prospective players quite as much as it does for the World Series of Poker, ranging from just over three hundred bucks up to just over five grand.
