Hershler Takes 2007 L.A. Poker Classic

The biggest World Poker Tour event has finished, and the winner, Eric Hershler, is the latest poker millionaire. Nearly 800 player put up ten grand to play in this event held at the Commerce Casino, making it the biggest ten grand event the WPT has had in the states. When it got down to the final two, it was favorite J.C. Tran against newcomer Eric Hershler, who had a "slight" lead of about a million dollars in tourney chips. Tran couldn't manage the win, however, taking nearly $1.2 million for his second place finish, giving Hershler the $4 million plus first prize.
