New Zealand Poker Draws Celebrities

At the Christchurch Casino the staff is gearing up for the upcoming New Zealand Poker Championships, and the star power is starting to sign up to take part. Shannon Elizabeth, who broke on the scene by playing a half naked foreign exchange student in the movie American Pie, has made it known she will take part in the event. Her plans are to play in the Celebrity Poker Challenge for Charity this April, but also to compete in the $500,000 main tournament, as she is known as a very good player. The New Zealand Poker Championships will be one of the biggest events in the Southern Hemisphere this year.
