The Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack recently held their first satellite qualifier for the upcoming World Series of Poker, and according to recent reports it was a big success. Hundreds of poker players lined up to compete in the event, which offered a prize package to the 2008 World Series of Poker main event worth $10,000. The 330 seat tournament was sold out hours after the tickets went on sale. Each month a new qualifier will be held at Wheeling Island, each offering up a free seat in the biggest poker game to take place this year.
