WSOP Outlaws .Net Ads

By launchpoker, Feb 24, 2007

In recent years it has been a common practice to see ads for online poker rooms ending in ".net" at the World Series of Poker, but no longer. According to a recent announcement from Harrah's Entertainment, the .net ads that are affiliated with real money .com sites, such as Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, will no longer be allowed. On the flip side, however, the ban on player apparel has been lifted, meaning that players can wear brands ending in .com. This opens up a revenue stream to players that had been closed until now.
