Foxwoods Makes World Poker Tour A Permanent Feature

When the World Poker Tour launched a number of years ago, they offered up a unique poker tournament approach, differing from the reigning poker show, the World Series of Poker. Unlike the WSOP, which held all of their events in Las Vegas at one casino, the World Poker Tour made an agreement with many casinos in many cities, linking them all together under the WPT banner. One very famous casino that was part of that agreement was the Foxwoods Resort and Casino close by Hartford, CT. A recent agreement between the casino and the WPT is leading to a newly renovated room at Foxwoods that will bear the World Poker Tour name.As part of the agreement Foxwoods will be the first of what may become many Charter Member Casinos.
