Last year the fight was making the headlines of all the online poker news sources and now it looks like things are coming to a close in the tumultuous relationship between PartyGaming and Empire Online. Both outfits are online poker companies that had a benefitial partnership last year, with EmpirePoker, the poker site of Empire Online, being one of the poker “skins” of PartyGaming. Empire was interested in having PartyGaming buy them out, but when the later announced they were cutting off support of their skins, Empire’s stock plummeted. Calling foul, Empire sought legal action against their former partners.
Now PartyGaming is going to purchase EmpirePoker.com and all the associated white label and associate agreements, contingent upon the legal withdrawal of Empire Online against PartyGaming. The price is at $250 million.
