Online Poker May Be Affecting Social Life

In some parts of the Poker News it was announced that a couple who met while playing online poker are soon to be married, but if the results of a recent survey completed in the United Kingdom are any indicator, then online poker may be hampering traditional social life, specifically social activities such as going to the pub. Long a mainstay of popular British culture, going to the pub would have ranked top of the list of things the average Brit would want to do, but the survey suggests that things are now otherwise.The results are not hugely significant, but do suggest a change in the way of things, with nearly twenty percent of those surveyed saying they would prefer to sit at home and play online poker than go for a pint with their mates.
