Australian Sportsbook Branches Out To Add Online Poker

The online gambling market is hotter than ever, and there is no doubt that poker is leading the pack, at least in terms of popularity and visibility, and online bookmaker Betcorp is looking to add a little poker power to its own books soon. The Melbourne based company runs its sportsbook websites from Antigua, which is in the Caribbean, and Toronto, and recently outlines a plan to try and sway sports punters to give a bit of online poker play a chance.

The company chairman, David Hudd, was saying that the company wants to reduce its overall reliance on sports betting. The current model has sports betting as more than 60 percent of its gross revenues, and the outfit is hoping to reduce that dependency by cross selling poker to its customers.
