Dutch Government Enters Poker Market

While the US and other countries struggle with government interference with their online poker markets, the Netherlands has gotten some support from theirs. The Dutch government has entered the online poker market as a player, partnering with Holland Casino and CryotoLogic, the software platform provider used by many popular online poker sites. The site is shooting for a June 2007 launch, but will be open only to Dutch players. Poker industry and global governments will surely keep an eye on this partnership for their own good.
