The owner of the Belfast poker club raided by police a year ago has been convicted of breaking the law. Seized slot machines were destroyed, £2,000 seized by police will be given to charity, and to top it off the owner was fined £3,000. Should other poker club owners not take the hint from the punishment meted to Sean Murphy, who runs the Cavendish Club, a Crown lawyer hinted that this would be the first of many similar prosecutions.
