Russian Poker Player Loses Wife in Poker Game

By launchpoker, Feb 1, 2007

The story is making the rounds of the Internet, but sounds too improbable to be true. In the news stories a Russian man found himself out of cash in a poker game and wagered his wife instead. He lost the hand and the winner, Sergey Brodov, eventually turned up at the house of Tatiana and Andrei Karpov, from Murmansk, to claim his reward. The wife was so incised by the situation that she divorced her husband and - supposedly - married Brodov. Supposedly she is happy now and not at all regretful of leaving her ex husband.
