When a poker player is looking for action, having police descend upon the game he is in the middle of is not exactly what he is looking for, but it is becoming an all too frequent occurrence. The Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise were recently told they would be raided if they went forward with a charitable Texas Holdem tournament they were planning. The word came from the Illegal Gambling Unit itself. OPP Det. Staff Sgt. Clint Hunter said that if you collect money from a poker game, even if that money goes to a charity - it is an illegal activity.
