Snowmobile Poker Runs Canceled

The Maine Snowmobile Association was all set to support as many as 30 snowmobile clubs to host fundraising poker runs this winter, but those plans have changed. The events had to be canceled when the clubs got the word that they would have to buy a gambling license to run them. What was to be a fun event became bogged down with paperwork and regulations, and these non profit events would have to shell out money to take place. The club organizers have decided to turn to other fund raising options rather than deal with the bureaucracy.
