The controversy surrounding 2006 World Series of Poker winner Jamie Gold continues as he is dropped from Team Bodog, the group of pro poker players that represent the site. In an official announcement, Bodog Poker has said that Gold was dropped because the online poker room wanted to focus its efforts on branding in Europe and abroad, and end its U.S. presence. The only off note in this announcement is the news that David Williams, Josh Arieh, and Evelyn Ng will continue to be on Team Bodog, and all three are U.S. players.
