A new version of online poker playing is on the horizon, according to the Director of Programming for Microsoft's Xbox Live, Programming Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb. Hryb interviewed Xbox Live Arcade Group Manager Greg Canessa as part of Hyrb’s podcast program, discovering insights into the evolution of the Xbox Live Arcade. During the interview it was revealed that there will be a Texas Hold’em poker game in the works this year.
Developers for the Xbox are excited about making products for the Xbox Live Arcade, an online ‘store’ where demos, free games and games you can buy are available for download. Xbox Live members can download the games, put them on memory sticks and take them to a buddies house, and play with others around the globe. The prospect of a free Hold’em game has poker and gamer enthusiast alike excited.
