Winner of First Leg of GUK Poker Tour

The first leg of the 2008 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is over and done, and the winner is one Julian Thew. Thew is a second time winner, having picked up the title of event eight in 2007. This makes him the first two time winner of a GUKPT event, with a first prize of £86,800 and a £3,000 seat into the Grand Final. Like all champions and winners of preliminary events Thew also gets a seat in the GUKPT Champion of Champions tournament, which will take place in December after the regular season is over and done.
