Finnish Minister Wants to Limit Poker by Giving Poker

By launchpoker, Jan 23, 2008

There are a lot of people in Finland who want to play online poker in the country, and there are a lot of people who want to limit or ban it. One Finnish Minister wants to do both. Minister of Culture and Sport Stefan Wallin says that the best way to limit online poker, in his opinion, is to offer it via a state run online poker room. This news is on the heels of last week's message from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health that outlines plans to amend a law to give Finnish players the right to get their losses back.
