Subpoenas have been issued to some 16 banks in the United Kingdom by the United States Department of Justice in the latter's "war on poker." The Southern District Court of New York issued the subpoenas, and it is the same district that is building the case against Neteller operatives arrested last week. According to the London Times, these subpoenas are technically being reissued, as they were initially sent out days after the UIGEA come into effect.
