World Poker Tour World Poker Open Underway

The Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi will once again host the World Poker Tour during their 2008 World Poker Open, the sixth year in a row that the casino has done so. There will be plenty of poker for everyone with the ubiquitous Texas Holdem games and Stud and Omaha as well. The prelims got started at the beginning of the month, but now the main event is underway. The final table will be played - and filmed for later broadcast on the WPT TV show - on January 24th. The $10k buy in gets players a shot at a $25k seat in the WPT final and something close to a million dollars in prize money.
