While Stephen Lawrence, 46, and John Lefebvre, 55, are not officially employees of online financial transaction company Neteller, US officials deemed them connected enough to be arrested when the founders were on US soil this passed Monday. The two Canadian men were arrested and charged with laundering illegal gambling funds in the billions through their company, a reflection of the times after the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. In reaction to the arrest Neteller suspended trading of its stock on the London Stock Exchange, and no longer allows US players to use its services to send money to online poker rooms.
