Professor Wins Big Payoff in Aussie Millions

There is a huge event at the Aussie Millions that only a relative handful of poker pros play, thanks to the $100,000 buy in required to take a seat. The $100,000 No Limit Holdem event drew 25 players, creating a $2.5 million prize pool, and included such big name players as Tony G, Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen and more. The big winner was to be Howard "The Professor" Lederer, who beat out the field of his peers to win a $1.2 million first prize check. The entire prize pool was paid out to only five players.
