World Poker Tour Announces Women's Tour

If anyone had any doubt left that women poker players were on the rise the recent press release from the World Poker Tour should lay those doubts to rest. The WPT, known for hosting a "Ladies Night" event for women only each season, recently announced the launch of an entire tour for the women players. The WPT Ladies events will have buy ins ranging from $300 to $1,500. The first season of the WPTL will start January 20th at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City and end with a championship event in Las Vegas at the Bellagio.
