When PokerRoom.com, one of the first online poker rooms in existence, recently came under fire for reportedly cheating their players out of hard won prizes, it seemed no one was willing to give the room the benefit of the doubt. During a Christmas tournament that posted a $19,000 added cash bonus an error occurred. PokerRoom had advertised the prize being an HDTV and pulled money that went into accounts beyond that. They have since replaced the money, despite claiming the whole problem caused by a computer oversight, in the interest of restoring good will with the poker playing public.
