Automated Poker Machine Gets Patent

Lightning Poker, a company that produces no-dealer automated poker gaming tables, recently was awarded a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office to protect the central screen on their machines. U.S. Patent 7,306,516 entitled "Electronic Game Table" was offered to Lightning Poker in what the CEO of the company, Brian Haveson, says is a move that "protects a critical feature" of their product. Their gaming table allows up to ten players to sit and utilize touch screen technology to play games like Texas Holdem and Omaha poker, and even casino jackpot games.
