Woman Poker Player

  Lets face it: poker, and gambling in general, is still a male-dominated market. Over the past few years, however, female players have begun to find their place in the world of gambling, and now there are women poker players who are at least as well known as their male counterparts. It is for this demographic that Woman Poker Player attempts to educate, encourage and enlighten. While Woman Poker Player is not one of the classic poker publications, it is ever-increasing in popularity, and may one day be listed with the greatest poker magazines of all time.  Of course, with a name like Woman Poker Player, it goes without saying that the magazine is targeted at a specific audience. This bi-monthly publication seeks to enrich the life of female poker players, and not simply by giving them tips on the game. The magazine also has articles about well-being, fashion and other aspects of life important to all women, not just the poker-playing variety.  That is not to say that the magazine is not meant for gamblers. The majority of the magazine is devoted to articles on poker. There are profiles of successful women players, as well as playing strategies and stories on the best places to play poker, etc. The magazine has everything that a poker player would want and more, whether they are female or male.  The final word of wisdom is to pick up a copy from the local bookstore. After getting used to the other gambling magazines, Woman Poker Player may seem light at times. While this is a wonderful magazine that is reaching an often under-spoken demographic, it may simply be too lax for the serious poker player.
