Is Brock for Real?

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar won the UFC title last time he walked into an octagon; the time before that he was completely humiliated and forced to tap out in less than two minutes. So is Brock for real? Well we had the opportunity to find out at UFC 98, where he was to battle Frank Mir in a title unification match. Originally this fight was scheduled to happen on May 23rd, but now it is not going to happen.

Frank Mir has asked the UFC to reschedule the fight. He is currently recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, and doesn’t believe he will be ready to fight at UFC 98. The last time Frank Mir met Brock Lesnar in the octagon, he didn’t seem like a man who needed to be at full strength to beat the former WWE Champion. After suffering some early struggles; dealing with Brock’s strength advantage, he quickly turned the tables on his slower, less seasoned opponent, and forced Lesnar to tap out before the first round was done. Brock is presumably eager to exorcise this stain from his UFC career and looking to show that his loss to Mir was a fluke. Considering the fact that their last match looked like Frank was just putting up with the newbie until he got sick of the fight, and could put Lesnar away at will, one would understand if Brock was privately relieved about this postponement.

Brock has much more to loss here then Mir, and when they meet at UFC 100, Lesnar will either be validated as star, or exposed as a fraud who got lucky one night. We will see in July when this match finally takes place
