While we all love poker, Texas Hold'em, poker tournaments, and anything that has to do with the industry. Being "poker players" is not all we are about. Most poker players have interests that go beyond what happens during a hand of Texas Hold'em or Omaha. That is why we have the Poker lifestyle section...
Anybody who frequents this site probably plays poker for fun and/or money. For a lot of couples, playing hold’em helps keep the relationship interesting. While Vanessa Rousso and Chad Brown may trade bad beats over thousands of dollars on date night, when most couples play hold’em against each other, the stakes are usually each other’s clothing. In most cases, no matter who won, both outfits are usually hanging from the ceiling fan and everyone involved has a smile on their face; another successful date night. So playing poker for fun can be a good thing for any relationship. Of course when you put down the cards and pick up the power tools to get your conjugal freak on, your relationship has suddenly gone to a very bad place.
Sometimes a story so silly emerges during our research that we have to write about it. While I can’t really speak from the female perspective, I think I can say, with reasonable certainty, that in most relationships, when your partner comes at you with a reciprocating saw and the words “time for foreplay”, running is probably the best option. Last spring, in Lexington Park, Maryland, a couple decided to celebrate the season of love, by mounting a sex toy on the front of the reciprocating saw, plugging it in, and having the gentleman go to town with it on his lady friend. This, of course, ended badly. The blade cut through the marital aid, and gave the young lady what we can only politely refer to as the type of Episiotomy that would allow her to birth a small elephant, or a Ford -150.
If your relationship is getting a bit boring and predictable, try a rousing game of strip poker. Maybe play a poker tournament online before hand to get into the mood, but please, do not try to liven things up by pulling a surprise from your toolbox. A power saw is not a sex toy.
