Amit was a fantastic pro poker player, but John seemed to be destined to win. Time after time he out played his younger opponent, but just when it seemed Amit would be out once and for all he would manage to double up and stick around.
It was the final table at the Season Seven World Poker Tour Legend of Poker, played at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles and only two players were left. John Pham and Amit Makhija battled for millions in cash.

In most cases in heads up it was a good idea to commit if you were holding an ace, so John made the call. It just so happened he was out kicked and in a bad spot.
If, however, the cards went his way in the deal he could be the next WPT champ.
