  In 1999 at the final table Noel Furlong was sitting with a small pair (position Small Blind):  Alan Goehring had:  Furlong limped, Goehring... didn't raise. He could raise Maybe it was a better tactic. But who knows? The flop was really amazing for Furlong:  For some reason Furlong checked. With a full houseGoehring checked too. On the turn the 2 of spades came. It didnt help Goehring and he checked. Then Furlong bet $150, 000. Goehring bet $300,000 Then Furlong moved in. Goehring called Four outs werent enough to save him:  Thus Furlong became the world champion and took home $1,000,000 in prize money.
