At the final table Hamid was sitting with: His opponent, Tom Jacobs, had: Jacobs wanted Dastamalchi to go all-in. He under-bet his top pair after the flop: But Dastamalchi didnt want to go all-in. He called. On the turn came a card that made Dastamalchis hand nutty: Dastamalchi checked and Tom Jacobs moved all-in. I cant say this was a mistake. The risks he took were defensible. But the final card didnt help him: Hamid won the title and $1,000,000.
