It had been a long tough battle. At the final table six great players did their best to win, but in the end there could be only one. A Frenchman, a Swiss player, two Danes and two from Finland had all tried, and then it was down to one Finn and one Dane.
Jani "Hellraiser" Sointula and Christian "The Stamp" Grundtvig were fighting it out to see who would walk with nearly one million dollars as the champion, and a seat into the season six World Poker Tour final event. Hellraiser had played uncommonly good poker, but the Stamp had stayed ahead of him, playing fairly tight till they got heads up. Once it was one on one, Christian opened up his style to good effect, and catching three pocket pairs in a row does never hurt.
In this hand Jani was first to act with:
... and he elected to move all in. Unfortunatly for him, Christian was ready with a fourth wired pair - in a row! His Route 66 hand:
... was all he needed, and he called the all in move.
The flop came down:

... making it an interesting situation. Here, if antoher Jack came, Hellraiser would actually win. The two pair on the board would counterfeit the Stamp's wired sixes, and Jani's ace high would take it.
The turn came:
... and more outs came with it. Now, if a King came, the same situation would occur. The river, however, was:
... Jani "Hellraiser" Sointula was out in 2nd with 356k euros, and Christian "The Stamp" Grundtvig was the champion, with 732k euros.
