T.J. Cloutier is one of those players that always seems to come very close to a major victory, only to ship it to someone else. That is not always true, of course, which can be proved by his participation in this particular week's game of the NBC late night poker show Poker After Dark. In order to play in this week's themed show, you had to be the owner of five or more World Series of Poker bracelets. Only 12 people living have that honor, and TJ is one of them.
But still, he always seems to run afoul of bad luck. In this hand he took a look at his hand and saw big slick:
... and raised it to $6,000 pre flop. This was about double a standard raise, so he was letting his opponents - in this case Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson, know that he had a hand. Phil was out, but Texas Dolly looked him up, and then some. Doyle raised it himself to $16k in cash and chips, and well he might, as he had cowboys. His:
... he figured were good, and so he was ready with a call when TJ declared "All In."
The flop came down:

... and things were looking glum for TJ. Phil looked over and tried to be encouraging - "You'll get it... you're due, TJ."

... and once again TJ got bit. Doyle doubled up, and the game went on.
