The director's cut of the NBC Poker After Dark show is always an interesting cross section of poker pro thought. In addition to watching the hands viewers can see the reasons why poker pros make some of the choices behind their wins and losses. During Couples Week all the couples were broken up, and only two men were left fighting for the $120,000. Marco Traniello and David Benyamine were the two, and David had both a two to one chip lead and all the luck, it would seem: when he busted Jennifer Harman, it was with his third pair of pocket aces. This time it was Marco's turn to start with the pocket rockets. David had: ... and raised it to $4,000. With his Aces in hand, Marco took his: ... and just called. The flop hit: ... which seemed good - three aces for Marco - but now David had a heart flush draw. Both players checked. The turn came: ... and there it was. Traniello checked and David bet $4,000. Marco, though nervous, called. When the river hit: ... Marco's pocket aces ruined. He checked and when David bet $15,000, he had to fold.
