Poker After Dark - Two Jacks, TJ?

Sometimes it is easier to read your opponents when you are not in the hand, such as when Layne Flack perfectly read TJ Cloutier during one hand of Poker After Dark. This hit NBC show, hosted by Shana Hiatt, has themed weeks where six poker pros each buy in for $20k, and the winner gets to keep it all. Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, T.J. Cloutier, Chris Ferguson, Layne Flack and Erik Seidel were all on hand one week, and this hand showed Flack's amazing reading ability.

&nbs; In this hand Chris made a pre flop raise to $500 with:

... Erik had a happy suited connector hand:

... and so he called. TJ, however, had a great hand of fishhooks, or pocket jacks:

... He raised it to $2,000.

Chris folded out of the way, but Erik decided to call. He knew TJ was a very cautious player, so if Erik missed his hand he could still win with a bluff. The flop came down:

... helping Erik but still supporting TJ.

Erik checked it to his opponent, who pushed in $2,500 in chips and cash. Erik made his move, and bumped it up to $8,500. This was a play someone with pocket aces would make, and both Erik and TJ knew it. TJ thought for a moment, and then mucked his hand. As he did, Flack piped up, "Two jacks, TJ?" Cloutier couldn't help but nod, but Erik, who never shows his cards, kept quiet.
