Jennifer Tilly never thinks the big blind has a good hand, and that often proves her downfall. In this particular hand during NBC's show Poker After Dark it was Couples Week, and her better half, Phil "Unabomber" Laak, had already busted out. In the hand with her there were Italian poker pro Marco Traniello and French poker pro David Benyamine. David was in the UTG spot and so he limped in with: ... Tilly was in the small blind and made the completion with: ... Marco snuck in for free having already paid his big blind while holding: ... or canine. The flop hit: ... and Tilly was in trouble. She checked from under the gun and Marco fired $3,500. David had nothing to say and folded out of the way. Tilly sat and thought, in the tank for a while. She had a bad habit of considering the big blind to never have a hand. Thus, she didn't consider he had a king. She thought he might have a diamond and would lay down to a big raise, but not two diamonds, figuring it against the odds. She moved all in for $7,700. Marco did not hesitate in calling. The turn came: ... and locked it in for the former hairdresser from Italy. The river was a blank: ... and movie star Jennifer Tilly was out.
