When you are one of only two real cowboys during a themed game called "Cowboy Week" you likely feel some responsibility to hold up, but it wasn't to be so for one of them during NBC's Poker After Dark: Hoyt Corkins and Doyle Brunson were the genuine article, trying to keep the faith as it were. Also in the game, and all donning cowboy hats for the occasion, were Andy Bloch, Chau Giang, Gabe Kaplan, and Chris Ferguson. By now the blinds were up to $400 and $800 and Corkins only had about $8,500 left. From the button Andy raised it to $2,500 holding: ... When Hoyt saw: ... and knew that Andy could be raising with any two cards, he moved all in - he was actually hoping Andy didn't call. But, Andy did. Hoyt knew he had about a 60 to 40 chance to win the hand. When the flop came down: ... that made it a little worse - he was now about fifty to one to win. The man known as the Alabama Cowboy was in a lot of trouble with his tournament life on the line. The $120k game was winner take all, and each of the six players had put in $20k of their own money. The turn came: ... and the river: ... and Hoyt was out! That left only one cowboy to defend the ranch in Cowboy Week.
