Poker After Dark is one of the most popular of all the poker games shown on TV, and one reason is because they so often mix up their themes. The latest idea is The Cash Game, a $100k buy in event featuring six players: Phil Hellmuth, Tom Dwar, Allen Cunningham, Guy Laliberte, Mike Baxter, and David Peat. After winning a few hands off of Phil, Allen was ready to get some more of his cash. Phil limped in on this hand with a baby ace: ... and Allen raised it up to $2,200 with cowboys: ... Phil called it, thinking that Allen was just trying to push him around. The flop hit: ... and Phil - who had checked in the dark - waited for Allen to make a decision. Allen bet $3,300, and Phil called once more. The turn came: ... and Phil checked. Allen pushed $7k at the pot and Phil thought he was bluffing. Phil moved it up to $19k, and Allen called, putting Hellmuth on notice. The river hit: ... and Phil checked once again. More for worry about the pair on the board than for any other reason, Allen checked behind and then took down the pot with his cowboys.
