You have to have thick skin to play poker. Because the game is all about making the correct decisions, and other players know that if they can emotionally disturb someone that person will not make good decisions, whenever bad decisions are made players usually get a healthy amount of teasing. When you put six professional players together on Poker After Dark, you have to have really thick skin, indeed.
It was Jam-Up Week, and in the first hand Howard Lederer and Eli Elezra got all in: Eli busted out. Mike Matusow, however, suggested that he might be allowed to buy back in, and the other players agreed. Mike would live to regret that idea.
In this hand David Williams made the first move with a raise to $1,200 while holding Suited Connectors:
... Mike made a raise holding Big Slick:
... making it $4,200. Eli, holding the best hand you could ask for:
... raised that once more to $9,250. David folded and Mike moved all in for the rest of his chips, total of $14,250. Eli called. The flop came:

... followed by the turn card:
... and a river card:
... Mike "The Mouth" Matusow was out, his $20,000 staying in the game, mingling with the other $120,000 and waiting for a winner, which would not be Mike. As he got up and shook hands all around, Eli made a little ungracious teasing saying, "Thanks for letting me back in, buddy."
