The hit NBC show Poker After Dark always has interesting theme weeks - one of their best ideas ever was Couples Week. The $20,000 buy-in, winner take all format was spiced up with three couples who are all very different from each other.
The players were Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, David Benyamine, Erica Schoenberg, Jennifer Harman, and Marco Traniello.
In this hand young Erica got completely turned around by the Italian at the table. With:
... Erica made it $600 to go. Phil made the call holding:

... and Marco checked his double ended straight draw. Erica bet $1500. Phil folded. Marco raised to $3000 - completely throwing Erica off her game. She raised to $6,500 and Marco quickly called. The turn was:
... and both players checked. At this point Erica could not get a handle on the way he was playing. He always seemed to make a move counter to what she thought the board dictated. The river was:
... Marco, acting weak, bet $3500. Erica was completely confused, she could not see how the three was a good card. She called all in and couldn't believe that Marco had made the straight.
