Poker After Dark is a very popular late night poker show (hence the name) on NBC, hosted by Shana Hiatt, the former, and first, World Poker Tour hostess. In this epidose the six players were down to four, with Antonio Esfandiari (The Magician), Phil Hellmuth (the Poker Brat), Shawn Sheikhan and Phil Laak (the Unabomber) all fighting for the winner take all prize of $120,000.
Phil Hellmuth started things off in this hand with:
... and a raise to $4,000 in cash. He not only got a taker in this normally raise-and-take-it game, but Esfandiari, holding a wired pair:
... moved all in for $12,000.
Phil started to talk. "I really can't fold here. You either have two nines or two sevens." As anyone who is familiar with Hellmuth would understand, he couldn't make a decision without first talking about it. After a few moments of jabbering, Phil called.
Before the flop the two players began to talk about how Phil always outdraws Antonio, and the Magician said, "I want to pre-pay you", suggesting it was going to happen again.
The flop was:

... and so far Antonio was out in the lead still. When the turn came:
... he felt a little better about not giving up, and when the river hit:
... it was all over for the Poker Brat. Shawn, his adversary for the game, complained, saying he wanted to be the one to bust him out. Phil left empty handed, and play continued.
